Privacy Policy — Meeting Takeover

This privacy policy applies to the Chrome extension Meeting Takeover.

Summary

Meeting Takeover does not create accounts, does not use analytics, and does not talk to any remote servers operated by the extension author. It works entirely in your browser.

What the extension does with data

Google Calendar page (host permission)

While you are on https://calendar.google.com/, a content script may read information that is already visible in the page DOM in your browser — for example meeting title, start time, and join links (Meet, Zoom, Teams, Webex) when present — so you can choose meetings to Watch.

• This happens only in your browser on calendar.google.com.
• The extension does not use Google OAuth.
• The extension does not call the Google Calendar API.
• The extension does not upload Calendar contents to any server.

Local storage

Watched meetings and settings (such as alert lead time) are stored in chrome.storage.local on your device. That data stays on your machine unless you remove it (e.g. uninstall the extension or clear extension storage).

Alerts

Before a watched meeting, the extension uses Chrome alarms and may open an alert window/tab in Chrome. Alert UI runs locally; it does not phone home.

What we do not do

• No user accounts or sign-in to Meeting Takeover
• No analytics, advertising, or tracking pixels
• No remote backend operated by Meeting Takeover
• No sale of data
• No sharing with third parties for advertising or profiling
• No collection of passwords or payment information

Third parties

The extension interacts with Google Calendar as a webpage you already use in Chrome. Google’s own privacy policy applies to your use of Google products. Meeting Takeover is not affiliated with Google.

Children’s privacy

Meeting Takeover is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes in a material way, the updated text will be posted at the same privacy URL used on the Chrome Web Store listing, with an updated “Last updated” date.
